Introducing the The Farmstead Hamlet, a limited release of eleven homesites overlooking the Lee Creek Fields of Olivette Farm

The Farmstead Hamlet at Olivette Riverside Community and Farm will promote best-practices in sustainable new urbanism by providing 1-2 acre mountain and farm view homesites for urban homesteading.  The conceptual plan includes eight farm-focused homesites that foster connections between residents and the land, and promotes a communal interest in true farm-to-table living via shared interests in organic gardening, beekeeping, raising chickens, etc.  The Farmstead provides the opportunity for a return to a simple, harmonious lifestyle, a balance of living in accord with nature paired with modern conveniences. 

Landscapes to include drought-resistant native trees, shrubs, grasses and ground covers, and edible landscapes.  Beekeeping, chicken tending and raised bed gardening are encouraged, along with rain gardens and pollinator gardens which incorporate native plants into the landscape.
